Saudi Arabia Restarts East-West Pipeline and Prepares to Resume Oil Exports from Yanbu Today

Al-Taj News – Informed sources told Reuters that Saudi Arabia has restarted the East-West Pipeline for transporting crude oil, while oil exports through the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea are expected to resume later today, Tuesday.

The agency quoted three informed sources as saying that oil flows have resumed through the pipeline, while two sources indicated that pumping operations are currently being carried out at low rates. Saudi Aramco has not yet responded to a request for comment.

The resumption of the pipeline’s operation and the return of exports from Yanbu represent an important step toward restoring normal flows of Saudi crude to global markets, as the pipeline is a strategic artery transporting oil from the Eastern Region to the Red Sea coast.

Yanbu Port is considered one of the strategic facilities for Saudi Arabia’s energy sector, as it enables oil exports to global markets through the Red Sea, providing an alternative route for crude exports away from the Strait of Hormuz and enhancing the resilience of the Kingdom’s oil supply chains.
